What hair does MelaGod Imports provide?

We offer 100% human hair bundles. Authentic Virgin hair implies to steam processed donor hair. Steam processing allows for the creating of different styles or patterns which includes : body wave, loose wave, bone straight, deep wave, curly and more. The beauty of virgin hair is that the bundles, closures, and frontals are always identical. This steaming process makes an effortless weave or wig installment and style. Virgin hair lasts 2yrs+ with proper care without compromising the original steamed pattern and texture.   

How many bundles are required for install?

We Recommend 3 bundles with use of 10'-30' inches.

*Suggested bundles are subject to change depending on ones preference of desired fullness. * All bundles offered weigh 3.5-4 oz.

Can I Color My Bundles?

You may color our hair bundles using rinses, dyes, or bleach. Be sure to keep color treated hair conditioned and moisturized. Please consult with a licensed stylists about coloring your bundles to assure no excessive damage will be done to the hair.

Does MelaGod Imports Shed?

All hair that has been stitched onto a weft is entitled to light shedding, just like your natural hair sheds daily, it is absolutely normal; especially with constant combing and brushing hairs. With proper care and maintenance you will experience minimal shedding (no noticeable or drastic decrease in the bundle density or volume). Most customers use weft sealer to ensure hairs are more secured to the weft.

How often should I shampoo and condition my hair?

We suggest that you shampoo your extensions every 3-6 weeks. In between those weeks, you can condition and rinse to increase silk and volume. Following these simple steps, can result in your extensions lasting their full time span at a minimum of 3 years. Remember, this is authentic hairs, like your hair, you can not go a full month without cleaning your hair and expect soft luscious flow after heavy products are repeatedly applied. If you want to accomplish the perfect style, keep your bundles cleaned, and the heavy hair products away.

Any Hair Care Tips?

We recommend using a shampoo no higher than pH7. 

  • Do NOT massage & tangle hair
  • Apply conditioner, comb through with a wide tooth comb, starting with the ends working your way up you scalp
  • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water
  • Let air dry 
  • Use styling products minimally to avoid build up or stiffness
  • Avoid alcohol based products to avoid drying your bundles out.
  • Dampen curly hair with a water bottle & conditioner.
  • While wet, scrunch up curly hair gently to reform curls
  • Style as desired 

 What is the difference between a frontal and closure and its type of lace?

MelaGod frontals are offered at 13x4 inches. Frontals are used for a more diverse option of styling and measure from ear to ear 13 inches, and 4 inches from the front hairline to the center head. Frontals require more maintenance for a consistent natural appearance. Maintenance includes but is not limited to more professional installing and styling, retouching, and cleaning the lace after glue, tint spray and/or makeup has been applied. Frontals can be shifted to a middle part, side part, or no part at all.

HD Lace - Light, Soft and Delicate Lace, which appears to be more transparent than regular lace. This lace can melt into our skin more perfectly which makes the hairline more invisible. This lace is exclusive for all skin complexions.

How can I maintain my hair while asleep?

Be sure to never sleep on wet hair that hasn't been detangled, wrapped, twisted or braided down. Sleeping on your hair while wet without following the steps mentioned can make it difficult to keep the hair the way you desire. Rolling your hair in flexi rods at night will help maintain your curls and limit the amount of heat you apply to your hair. Braiding or twisting down will also secure your hair and prevent overnight matting. Sleeping with a silk scarf or satin pillowcase will maintain your bundles luster & soft feel.
